Washing at low temperatures

When it comes to Persil's ingredients, we place great attention on ensuring that detergents efficiently remove a large number of stains even at low temperatures. Because we know from life cycle analyses that the main energy requirement - and therefore most carbon dioxide emissions - is generated by using the washing machine when washing laundry. That is why Persil's recipes work already at 20 degrees. If the washing temperature is reduced by 10 degrees, for example from 40 to 30 degrees, up to 40 percent energy can be saved per wash. In addition, when developing the Persil detergents, we also pay attention to protecting the fabrics in the washing process so that the joy of textiles lasts a long time and resources can also be saved.
